What does private label mean for pet products?
Private label means a manufacturer produces an item to your specification and you sell it under your own brand. In pet supplies this covers material, dimensions, function, colour, label and packaging. You are the brand owner and the party placing the product on the market; the manufacturer never appears to your customers.
What is the difference between white label and private label?
With white label, an existing product from the manufacturer's catalogue simply gets your label — fast and inexpensive, but the same item can sit on a competitor's shelf. With private label the product is modified to your specification or newly developed. That takes longer and costs more in development, but the item is exclusive and not directly comparable.
How do I find a manufacturer for pet products?
Through an established network of producers we have known for years and meet regularly at the international trade fairs. We select the manufacturer who genuinely masters your category, obtain samples and pricing and inspect quality at the factory. You get a selection, not an address list.
What minimum order quantity do I need for an own brand?
It depends on the category and on whether an existing mould is used or new tooling has to be built. Textiles start considerably lower than injection moulding. Smaller launch quantities are possible. Tell us the product and you get the realistic minimum order quantity together with the price.
How long does it take from idea to delivery?
The schedule is made up of development, sampling, production and transport. Existing moulds shorten it noticeably, new tooling extends it. Sea freight from Asia adds several weeks. You receive the schedule with the quotation, not after the order.
Which regulations apply to pet products in the EU?
Anyone placing a product on the market under their own brand is legally the manufacturer. That triggers, among others, the EU product safety regulation with technical documentation and labelling, the rules on materials and chemicals, and packaging registration. We supply the documentation from production; the roles of manufacturer, importer and distributor are set out contractually.
Can you develop new dog toys as well?
Yes. Toys are one of our largest categories. We start from a sketch, a competitor product or a functional description, clarify material and safety requirements and have a sample built before anything goes into production.
What happens to my data, my design and my specification?
They stay with you. We do not pass client data, drawings, specifications or prices to third parties and do not use them on other projects. The manufacturer receives exactly what it needs for your product, and the rights to your design are secured contractually. We only show client products with written approval.
What does working with you cost?
There is no monthly fee and no subscription. You pay the product price, calculated delivered duty paid: goods, freight, customs, quality inspection and handling are included. Sample costs are quoted in advance. Once the container has shipped, no additional charges follow.
Who owns the design and the tooling?
Your design stays yours. If dedicated tooling is built for your product, we agree in writing before production who pays for it, who owns it and whether the manufacturer may use it for third parties.
